AOK Team Run Successfully Completed!

On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in the evening, all running enthusiasts from the Andreas Mohn Foundation team met together with the MS Empowerment group “Schubkraft” at the start of the AOK Team Run in Bielefeld.

The race started at 7:00 PM. 2,100 motivated people from Bielefeld began running. Thanks to our early registration, we had small starting numbers from 10 to 21.

Despite the high temperatures, our team showed great endurance. We walked and ran carefully, adapted our pace, had fun, stayed calm, and supported each other. The route went through the city, with the start and finish in the heart of Bielefeld. The great mood of the race and all the happy teams added to our fun.

Our team was joined by “foundation children” and their dad. They helped complete our team, which had been reduced due to illness, and helped us achieve a better ranking. A member of the Schubkraft Empowerment MS group also supported us at the start and finish.

The founder, Andreas Mohn, cheered for us along the route. Wearing foundation T-shirts and in good spirits, we ran together. Alongside many colorfully dressed and happy teams, all runners reached the finish line carefully and according to their own pace.

After the race, while enjoying cold drinks and friendly conversations, we were suddenly called to the winners’ ceremony:

We celebrated the shiny trophy. With medals, the trophy, and a certificate, we honored our achievement. Together, we enjoyed a meal and cold drinks to celebrate this team effort.
